We assess the investigation, identify the right services for your case’s specific needs, and provide a clear cost estimate — at no charge. No vague retainers, no surprise line items. You’ll know what the investigation covers and what it costs before anything moves forward. Most investigations are handled on a flat-fee basis for simplicity and budget predictability; field-intensive or open-ended engagements may be invoiced at an hourly rate, which we’ll identify upfront.
Once we align on scope and terms, a formal agreement is executed. Your case is then assigned to a dedicated Special Investigator matched to your matter — whether that’s a field-heavy accident reconstruction or a records-intensive background investigation.
Your Special Investigator gets to work. Depending on the scope, this may include on-site inspections, EDR extractions, witness canvassing, skip traces, asset searches, records requests, or background profiling. Every step is documented with litigation in mind — chain of custody, preservation protocols, and compliance-grade methodology throughout.
When the investigation concludes, you receive a detailed confidential memo compiling all findings, documentation, and relevant evidence. The memo is structured for immediate use by your team — clear, organized, and ready to inform demand letters, depositions, mediation strategy, or trial preparation.
We don’t close the loop until you’re satisfied. Once you’ve reviewed the memo and confirmed there are no outstanding questions or follow-up needs, an invoice is prepared and sent. You’re never handed a bill before the work is complete and confirmed.
